Overview

PAYMENT POLICY

Brand: Hansuli Tagline: Devbhoomi Ki Thaati

Purpose

This Payment Policy explains the payment methods accepted by Hansuli and the terms applicable to payments made for jewellery, products, services, custom orders, repairs, exchanges, kitty plans, and other transactions through Hansuli.

Hansuli aims to provide customers with secure, transparent, and convenient payment options across its online and offline channels.

By making a payment to Hansuli, the customer agrees to the terms of this Payment Policy, along with the applicable Terms & Conditions, Exchange Policy, Return & Refund Policy, Custom Order Policy, and other relevant policies.

Accepted Payment Methods

Hansuli may accept the following payment methods, depending on the transaction and availability:

2.1 UPI Payments

Customers may make payments using supported UPI applications and payment methods, including:

  • UPI QR code
  • UPI ID
  • Payment links
  • UPI-enabled banking applications
  • Other authorised UPI payment methods

Customers must ensure that the payment is made only through the official payment details provided by Hansuli.

Important: Customers should not make payments to personal or unauthorised UPI IDs claiming to represent Hansuli.

2.2 Debit & Credit Cards

Hansuli may accept payments through supported:

  • Visa
  • Mastercard
  • RuPay
  • Other supported debit and credit cards

Card payments may be processed through authorised payment gateways or banking partners.

Additional authentication, such as OTP, 3-D Secure verification, or other bank-required verification, may be required.

Hansuli does not store customers’ complete card numbers, CVV, PIN, or banking passwords.

2.3 Cash Payments

Cash payments may be accepted at Hansuli’s authorised physical store, subject to applicable laws and transaction limits.

Customers making cash payments should obtain and retain the corresponding invoice, receipt, or payment acknowledgement issued by Hansuli.

For high-value transactions, Hansuli may require customer identification, PAN, or other documentation where applicable under law.

Hansuli may decline or restrict cash payments where required for legal, compliance, accounting, or security reasons.

2.4 Bank Transfer

Where specifically provided by Hansuli, customers may make payments through:

  • NEFT
  • RTGS
  • IMPS
  • Other authorised bank transfer methods

The customer must use the bank details officially provided by Hansuli.

A payment is not considered confirmed merely because the customer has initiated a bank transfer.

2.5 Payment Links

Hansuli may provide payment links through authorised payment service providers.

Customers should verify that the payment link has been received through an official Hansuli communication channel before making payment.

Customers should never share their:

  • OTP
  • UPI PIN
  • ATM PIN
  • Card PIN
  • CVV
  • Net banking password
  • Payment authentication credentials

with Hansuli employees, representatives, or any third party.

Payment Confirmation

A payment is considered successfully received by Hansuli only after the payment has been successfully verified and credited or confirmed through the relevant payment system.

A screenshot showing:

  • “Payment successful”
  • UPI success
  • Bank debit
  • Transaction completed
  • Amount deducted

does not by itself constitute final payment confirmation.

Hansuli may verify the transaction through its bank, payment gateway, UPI system, or other authorised payment records.

Order Confirmation

For online or remote purchases, an order will generally be processed only after:

1. The customer’s order details are received. 2. The applicable amount is calculated. 3. Payment is successfully received and verified. 4. The order is confirmed by Hansuli.

For certain products, custom orders, made-to-order jewellery, kitty plans, or special purchases, additional terms may apply.

An automated payment acknowledgement does not necessarily mean that the order has been finally accepted or dispatched.

Failed Payments

A payment may fail due to reasons including:

  • Insufficient bank balance
  • UPI service interruption
  • Bank server issues
  • Payment gateway failure
  • Card being declined
  • Incorrect card details
  • Incorrect UPI details
  • Expired card
  • Bank security restrictions
  • Transaction limits
  • Network problems
  • OTP or authentication failure
  • Payment gateway timeout
  • Technical errors
  • Other banking or payment-system issues

If the payment fails and the amount has not been debited, the customer may retry the payment using an available payment method.

Amount Debited But Payment Not Confirmed

Sometimes a customer’s bank account or card may be debited even though Hansuli has not received confirmation of the payment.

In such cases, the customer should not immediately make another payment unless advised by Hansuli after checking the transaction status.

The customer should provide:

  • Order number, if available
  • Transaction ID / UTR number
  • Payment date and time
  • Amount paid
  • Payment method
  • Screenshot or bank statement showing the debit, if required

Hansuli will verify the transaction with the relevant payment gateway or banking system.

If the payment is subsequently confirmed as successful, it will be adjusted against the customer’s order.

If the transaction is confirmed as failed or reversed, the amount will generally be returned by the relevant bank or payment service provider according to its applicable processing timelines.

Duplicate Payments

If a customer accidentally makes the same payment more than once, the customer should immediately contact Hansuli and provide the relevant transaction details.

Hansuli will verify the duplicate transaction.

Depending on the circumstances, the additional confirmed payment may be:

  • Adjusted against the customer’s order;
  • Adjusted against another eligible purchase with the customer’s consent; or
  • Refunded through an appropriate payment method, subject to applicable payment and refund procedures.

Payment Gateway Delays

Payment confirmation may occasionally be delayed because of:

  • Bank processing time
  • Payment gateway delays
  • UPI reconciliation
  • Technical issues
  • Server downtime
  • Banking holidays
  • Network interruptions

Hansuli cannot guarantee the processing time of third-party banks, payment gateways, card networks, or UPI service providers.

Where a payment is pending, Hansuli may wait for the transaction status to be confirmed before processing the order.

Payment Reversals

A payment may be automatically reversed by a bank, card network, UPI system, or payment gateway.

If a payment is reversed or refunded before Hansuli receives the funds, the order may remain unconfirmed.

The customer may be required to make a fresh payment after confirmation from Hansuli.

Refunds

Where a refund is applicable under Hansuli’s Refund, Return, Exchange, Cancellation, or other applicable policy, the refund will generally be processed through the appropriate payment channel.

The time taken for the refunded amount to appear in the customer’s account may depend on:

  • Bank
  • Card issuer
  • UPI service provider
  • Payment gateway
  • Payment method
  • Banking holidays
  • Other financial processing timelines

Hansuli does not control the processing time of third-party financial institutions.

Refunds will be subject to the applicable refund policy and the terms communicated at the time of purchase.

Cash Refunds

Where a transaction was originally paid in cash, any eligible refund will be handled in accordance with Hansuli’s applicable refund policy and applicable law.

Hansuli may prefer or require a bank transfer or another traceable payment method for certain refunds, particularly for higher-value transactions.

Payment For Custom & Made-To-Order Jewellery

Custom and made-to-order jewellery may require an advance payment before production begins.

The applicable advance amount, balance payment, cancellation terms, and refund conditions will be communicated to the customer before production.

Once production has commenced, cancellation or refund may be restricted according to Hansuli’s Custom / Made-to-Order Policy.

Payment For Repair Services

Where payment is required for repair, restoration, resizing, polishing, plating, stone setting, or other services, Hansuli may require payment:

  • Before beginning the work;
  • At the time of delivery;
  • Or according to the quotation or job card provided to the customer.

Any additional repair work requiring an additional charge may be undertaken only after obtaining appropriate customer approval.

Payment For Silver Exchange

Where old silver is exchanged against a Hansuli purchase, the value of the eligible old silver will be calculated according to the applicable Old Silver Exchange Policy.

The customer may be required to pay the balance amount after adjusting the approved exchange value.

The exchange value is not automatically equal to the original purchase price of the old jewellery.

Kitty / Jewellery Savings Plan Payments

Payments under Hansuli’s Kitty / Jewellery Savings Plan must be made according to the applicable Kitty Policy and agreed payment schedule.

Customers should retain payment receipts or digital payment confirmations for every instalment.

A payment will be considered credited to the kitty account only after successful verification by Hansuli.

Late, missed, reversed, or failed instalments may be subject to the terms of the applicable Kitty Policy.

Payment Receipts & Invoices

Customers should retain:

  • Invoice
  • Payment receipt
  • UPI transaction ID
  • Bank transaction reference
  • Order confirmation
  • Repair receipt
  • Exchange receipt
  • Kitty payment record

These documents may be required for future exchanges, repairs, warranty claims, refunds, or transaction verification.

Payment Discrepancies

If a customer believes that the amount charged or received is incorrect, the customer should contact Hansuli as soon as possible.

Hansuli may request supporting information such as:

  • Invoice number
  • Order number
  • Transaction ID
  • Bank reference number
  • Payment screenshot
  • Date and time of payment
  • Amount paid

Hansuli will review the transaction records and take appropriate action after verification.

Transaction Limits

Certain payment methods may have transaction limits imposed by:

  • Banks
  • UPI providers
  • Card networks
  • Payment gateways
  • Government or regulatory authorities

If a transaction exceeds an applicable limit, the customer may be asked to use another authorised payment method.

Taxes & Additional Charges

Applicable taxes, including GST where applicable, will be reflected in the invoice or communicated to the customer.

Any applicable:

  • Shipping charges
  • Customisation charges
  • Repair charges
  • Resizing charges
  • Service charges
  • Other applicable fees

may be added to the payable amount and communicated before payment wherever reasonably possible.

Payment Security

Hansuli takes reasonable measures to protect payment-related information.

However, customers are responsible for protecting their own:

  • UPI PIN
  • OTP
  • Card PIN
  • CVV
  • Banking password
  • Login credentials
  • Payment authentication details

Hansuli will never intentionally ask customers to disclose confidential banking credentials.

If anyone claiming to represent Hansuli asks for an OTP, UPI PIN, CVV, password, or similar confidential information, the customer should not share it and should contact Hansuli through an official communication channel.

Fraudulent Or Unauthorised Payments

Hansuli reserves the right to investigate transactions that appear:

  • Suspicious
  • Fraudulent
  • Unauthorised
  • Manipulated
  • Made using stolen payment instruments
  • Inconsistent with customer or order information

Hansuli may delay, cancel, or restrict an order while verification is being conducted.

Where appropriate, the matter may be reported to the relevant payment provider, bank, platform, or law-enforcement authority.

Third-Party Payment Providers

Payments may be processed through third-party payment gateways, banks, card networks, UPI providers, or other financial service providers.

Such providers may have their own:

  • Privacy policies
  • Terms of service
  • Transaction limits
  • Processing timelines
  • Refund procedures
  • Security procedures

Hansuli is not responsible for delays or technical failures exclusively caused by third-party payment systems.

Payment Through Social Media Or Messaging Platforms

Where Hansuli accepts orders through Instagram, WhatsApp, or other social media or messaging platforms, customers should make payments only using payment details officially provided by Hansuli.

Customers should verify the payment details before transferring money.

Hansuli will not be responsible for payments made to:

  • Unauthorised individuals
  • Fake accounts
  • Impersonators
  • Fraudulent UPI IDs
  • Unofficial bank accounts
  • Third parties not authorised by Hansuli

Cash Handling & Receipts

Customers making cash payments at an authorised Hansuli store should ensure that they receive an appropriate receipt or invoice.

Employees or representatives should not request customers to make personal payments outside the authorised billing process.

Any payment made outside Hansuli’s official billing or payment system may not be recognised unless subsequently verified and acknowledged by Hansuli.

Payment Disputes

If a customer has a payment-related concern, the customer should first contact Hansuli with the relevant transaction information.

Hansuli will review the matter based on available:

  • Invoice records
  • Payment gateway records
  • Bank confirmations
  • Transaction references
  • Order records
  • Customer communications

Nothing in this policy limits any rights available to customers under applicable consumer or other laws.

Policy Changes

Hansuli may update this Payment Policy from time to time to reflect changes in:

  • Payment methods
  • Technology
  • Banking procedures
  • Legal requirements
  • Business operations
  • Payment service providers

The updated version will be published through the applicable Hansuli platform.

Governing Law

This Payment Policy shall be governed by the applicable laws of India.

Any dispute relating to payments or transactions shall be subject to the applicable dispute-resolution provisions contained in Hansuli’s Terms & Conditions, without limiting any statutory rights available to the customer.

Customer Acknowledgement

By making a payment to Hansuli, the customer acknowledges that:

1. The payment details have been verified to the best of the customer’s knowledge. 2. The customer is responsible for entering correct payment information. 3. A payment is considered confirmed only after successful verification by Hansuli. 4. A bank debit or payment screenshot alone does not necessarily constitute confirmation of receipt. 5. Failed, pending, reversed, or duplicate transactions may require verification. 6. Applicable refund, exchange, cancellation, custom-order, repair, and other policies will apply to the relevant transaction.
